Choir Travel Opportunities

Brighton Choirs offers annual trips that offer students a chance to travel and perform. These trips also allow students to bond, explore, and create lasting memories.

As a rule, trips occur on a 4-year cycle, alternating between local travel by bus, regional trips that may require air travel, and overseas capstones.

 ●       Year 1: Local (2021-22) — Nashville, Cincinnati, etc. Approx. $300.

●       Year 2: Regional (2022-23) — New York City. Cost is $1,800.

●       Year 3: Local (2023-24) Local — Mackinac Island, Chicago, etc. Approx. $300.

●       Year 4: Overseas (2024-25) — France, Approx. $3,000.

Students may take part in as many or as few trips as they would like, with no impact on their class standing related to travel. The traveling group will rehearse a few times outside of the school day leading up to the trip and use some material we sing in all classes.

To help families defray costs, we hold a number of fundraisers that we repeat each year. Students are welcome to take part in as many as they would like.

●       Brighton Idol Ticket Sales (fall): Tickets cost $10; students earn $5 for each ticket sold.

●       Cookie Dough Sales (fall): Students earn 40% of the amount sold.

●       A Cappella Night (winter): Tickets cost $10; students earn $5 for each ticket sold.

●       Mug/Waterbottle sales (winter/spring): Prices and per-student profit TBD.

●       Venmo Push (ongoing): Students keep 100% of what they earn.

●       Shopping Rewards: We have deals with Raise Right, Busch’s and Kroger

It is possible to defray all or most of the travel costs through fundraising. Money raised stays with the student for the duration they are in the choir program.

Students and parents may check their fundraising account balance by emailing Ms. Hamilton at hamiltons@brightonk12.com, or students can ask Ms. Hamilton in class!
